At the age of 20 worked for Mattel and developed systems for remote control cars that would allow up to 16 to play at once.

1971: Worked for Atari Computer Company. Part of a team
that invented the video game Pong and a system which ran up
to 60 keyboards off one computer. Compatible with Linux
design concept that was sold to Tokyo Electronics.
1985: Set up Zebra Computer Production Company. Bob Piece (investor of the Astrodome) invested in the company with Sylvester Stallone for their venture into the hospitality industry. Invented the system that would interface with the cash register to print out the bill for the meal as well as automatically open the register. Invented similar system to interface with sprinkler systems to automatically turn them on and off that was solar powered.
1987: Began the Omni Computer Company. Developed computer hardware. Associated with Bill Gates, who developed the software.
1990: Began combining lighting with sensing magnetic technologies to allow mixing various lamp types with one ballast. Created the company, IceCap
1995: Worked with Dick Lang and Ben Giero, who were creative men in Hollywood. Worked on Star Trek toys, radio controlled cars and Green Screen technology for television (“Happy Days”) and movies (“Honey I Shrunk the Kids”; “Apollo 13”).
1996: Metal halide lights in factories are slow starting and restarting. Using knowledge gained from the aquarium problem to eliminate this wasteful power situation, developed low and high pressure sodium light bulbs and instant start ballasts. This lighting system is still used today by NASSA on the space station to grow plants.
1997: Working with the lighting leads to discoveries in electrical efficiency. These lessons were adapted to the design of an energy saving device for the home. The first generation of the EBU (known then as EPIC) was invented, resulting in an average savings of 8-11% in energy consumption.
1998: Developed a new generation of the EPIC, which increased energy savings into the 11% to 20% range. Developed this product for BELL ATLANTIC (Verizon) for surge protection from lightning strikes (TVSS transient voltage surge suppression)

2000 to Present: Based on the developments
in lightning protection and lessons learned from
lighting efficiency, the EBU (Energy Bank Unit)
is now set to raise new standards in power quality. The EBU incorporates power factor correction,
total harmonic reduction, phase balancing, voltage
sag and spike reduction plus facility-wide lightning
protection, all in one package.
